This month, so far, I have read Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, You Are Not A Stranger Here by Adam Haslet, Twilight by Stephanie Meyer, and Portrait Of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. I’m in the middle of The Omnivore’s Dilemma — My Book Club chooses a non-fiction every once in a while.

As I mentioned in my New Year’s Resolutions for 2010, I hope to read at least 50 books in 2010. So far so good!

Thank you Corra! I’m so excited about the award. Once I straighten out the minor glitches I’m having with the set up/transfer of the blog to WordPress, I’m going to devote a post to it! I’m truly honored!

Well, I’ve been forced to take a break from writing due to breaking bones in my hand so I’m catching up on my reading. I’ve read Dark Slayer and Street Game by Christine Feehan, Triad Of Hope by Adelle Laudan, Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris, Tall Dark & Fangsome by Michelle Rowan and The Apothecary’s Daughter by Julie Klassen.

I’m currently reading Becoming Jane Eyre and just finished the original Jane Eyre. Your Woolf and Wilde picks are on my TRB list.

(I’m doing 100 books in 5 years and feel mighty cocky about it. 50 books in a year is a lot! You are a fast reader!)

Anyhow, this is just a quick note to let you know I left you an award at my blog:

from the desk of a writer

It doesn’t look like you post awards here at your blog, si I wanted you to know there are no strings attached. I just wanted to acknowledge some fellow blogging writers.

    All the very best,
    Corra 🙂

Thanks for the encouraging words, Melisse! January has had a lot of down time, and lots of chances to read. I'll try to keep carving out time for "me-time/read-time".

Sounds like you will hit 50 books easily!
